This page list some of the items I have used in my blog posts. I never list items that I have not personally used and tested. I am an amazon affiliate but wont link to products where they are substantially cheaper elsewhere (in fact if I think I they are a bargain, I will add the direct link to where you can buy them).
I have used there speakers for over 20 years and own about 6 pairs (dont ask). They will feature in my upcoming blog on whole house audio. They are currently on sale at Richer Sounds JBL Control 1 Speakers for an amazing £49.95 with a 6 year guarantee.
I have purchased so many Raspberry PI’s over the years that I have lost count of the actual number but it must be at least 20. Raspberry PI’s will feature in blogs on
(a) Whole house audio systems
(b) Kodi media streamers
(c) Timelapse photography
(d) Standalone Internet radio
Raspberry PI’s are my goto device for these types of projects.
An O2 Joggler is a small touch screen based computer (long before raspberry PI) and will feature in an upcoming blog on whole audio (I have 8 of these).
A standard joggler
and once converted into a squeezebox controller
Soundscience QSB Speakers
Imagine you could get 30w WhatHifi 5 star speakers that can be driven by the USB power from a Raspberry PI (Model B or above).
Some people say they dont have enough base and dont have 3.5mm lead so cannot be used with your mp3 player as are USB only, but they work perfectly and are small and unobtrusive in my multiroom audio setup.
Asus RT-N66U Dark Knight Router
I had poor wifi reception in a few rooms in my house so I bought this on ebay with aftermarket 16db aerials and tomato firmware and now everything seems fine.
Bells Clove Oil
I think this is available from any pharmacy and Amazon. I sometimes get toothache and you apply this with a cotton bud and it numbs within 2 minutes. No medicine cabinet should be without this.
